Central Coast CA-Some things just feel right. That might be said for this next use of recycled materials. A group of women from Uganda fled the violence in their part of the country. They hoped to start a better life for themselves and their families.
Once they survived, they needed to provide. The end result…planet-friendly, brightly colored jewelry. Click below to learn more about the Acholi Beads found on the Central Coast over the 4th of July weekend.
Central CA Coast-Enjoying the 4th on the Central Coast of California can be a bit unpredictable. You never really know what the coastal weather systems will do to the evening. Fog, cold, overcast are just some of what can happen on the 4th, or any other day for that matter.
So the Central Coast planners got creative in 2009. One city, Morro Bay, put on a laser light show just in case the fog rolled in, which it did not. In fact, it was an unusually clear night on the coast. This made for spectacular displays over the water.
More unusual weather. Is it a sign of global warming or just nature taking its course? Regardless, the fireworks and lasers were spectacular. The lasers were reported to be more earth-friendly. Planners will just have to wait for Mother Nature to show up with the ultimate widescreen (a cloud layer) for the big show in the future.
