A Landmark Decision

June 18th, 2009

Central CA-After fiscal hesitation the Clovis Unified School District has decided to move forward with a landmark structure.

The respected school district will construct a truly “green” super energy efficient science building on its Buchanan High School campus.

The district is going to stand alone in the project. Once the 5.5 million dollar structure is complete, CUSD can boast a one-of-a-kind building. The idea is to build the super energy efficient “green” science lab that will demonstrate the virtues of new high tech-earth friendly construction techniques.

It is likely the structure will be a beacon for future construction. Alviston.com co-founder Mark Alvis is one of those responsible for the direction of the project. Watch the new building go up right here on “Green News.”

Construction is expected to start in July 2009.

Here is what they mean when they describe the golden hills surrounding the Big Valley in the middle of California.
