May 1st, 2010You’re likely to see more and more green road rage and it has nothing to do with anger.

It has to do with bamboo and bikes. Bamboo bikes are becoming the rage. Bamboo is abundant, and now one Wisconsin company has found a way to make it roll down the road.
Alviston.com took a test ride on the Dylan Organic Bike. From all appearances, it’s a great ride. Here’s how the Organic Bike website describes the bike:
For the “Dylan” Bamboo Bicycle, we have removed the need for a lot of the original alloy tubing and replaced it with the fastest growing, strongest, and most renewable resource on the planet- bamboo. Not only is the bamboo natural, but it also provides a ride quality that is far more comfortable than standard alloy frames. What alloy is used for our Bamboo bikes is 100% recycled!

Energy Building Transforming
April 15th, 2010Central CA-For the longest time, the new construction on the corner of the Buchanan campus looked a lot like a giant ice cooler. But now, the Logix foam blocks are getting covered up from top to bottom. The transformation on this historic construction continues to fascinate workers and observers alike.

February 17th, 2010Fresh & Easy …and Green
February 15th, 2010Central CA-It took a little longer than expected but the British food store chain, Fresh & Easy, is up and running in parts of Central California.
If a check of the website isn’t enough to show it, a visit to the store will. The place is obviously green. So much so that Fresh & Easy is actively recruiting hybrid shoppers.

This one Fresno location has two hybrid car parking spaces right at the door. A new perk for going “green” with a hybrid auto…preferred parking at Fresh & Easy. That’s just one of many green strategies used by the chain to make a dent in the food market business.
With just two slots, the store may need to hire hybrid officers to police the premium parking spots.
