Historic Decision Progresses

August 1st, 2009

Central CA — It is one thing to talk about “green” building. It is entirely another matter to make it happen. Decades of building habits will not disappear overnight.

Even with some green hurdles, the prestigious Clovis Unified School District decided to go ahead with its “green” dream. The Buchanan High School campus will be home to an energy-efficient, thoroughly green building.

Not only will it be a “green” beacon for the rest of the modern construction community, it will be a living breathing case study for students. The Mayor of Alviston, Mark Alvis, who helped craft the concept, discussed the progress on local radio.

Listen to Alvis, who recently was on the Bill McEwen Show on KYNO AM 1300 in Fresno.
